Education:
- Dr. Rafiyev Farid Sakhavat was born in Baku in 1981. After graduating from high school with honors in 1998, he entered the First Faculty of Treatment and Prevention at Azerbaijan Medical University that same year. He graduated from this university with honors (No. 083636) in 2004. Between 2004 and 2006, he worked as a clinical coordinator in the 1st Department of Surgical Diseases.
- From 2006 to 2009, he worked as a graduate student in the same department. Throughout his years of work, he authored 21 articles, 1 invention, and 3 effective proposals.
- In 2007, he completed courses in "Minimally Invasive Surgery" and "Laparoscopic Surgery" at the "Vivantes Humboldt Clinic" and "DrK Clinic Westend" in Berlin, Germany. He was awarded the title of "Laparoscopic Surgery Specialist" by Prof. Dr. Ernest Kraas. In 2008, he worked as a surgeon at the "Istanbul Surgical Hospital" clinic in Istanbul.
- In 2011, he graduated from the "CICE" course in Clermont, France, and received his Prof. Bruhat diploma. Among his scientific studies, he was awarded the title of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in medical sciences for his work on "Preventing complications of laparoscopic fundoplication" (2013).
- Since 2023, he has been working as the Head of the Metabolic-Bariatric Surgery Department at Liv Bona Dea Hospital.
- 2015-2023 - Served as the Director of the Surgical Department at Medera Hospital.
- 2007-2015 - Served as Head of the Surgery Department at Uniclinic Hospital.
