Liv Hospital Prepares for Planetree Accreditation with Human-Centered Care Approach

At Liv Hospital, we embrace the philosophy of Human-Centered Care, ensuring that every patient receives not only the highest level of medical treatment but also compassionate, holistic, and personalized support. In line with this vision, Liv Hospital is preparing for Planetree Accreditation, an international recognition of excellence in patient-centered care.

As part of the accreditation process, auditors from Planetree International”a globally recognized non-governmental organization specializing in Human-Centered Care”will conduct interviews and assessments at Liv Hospital.

🌿 What is Human-Centered Care (Planetree)?

Founded in 1978 by Angelica Thieriot, Planetree International promotes healthcare systems that prioritize the dignity, values, and individual needs of patients and their families. It is one of the most respected accreditation programs worldwide, designed to create more humane and empathetic healthcare environments.

Through a rigorous verification process involving patients, families, and caregivers, Planetree Accreditation recognizes healthcare organizations that have successfully implemented superior person-centered care practices.

🌠Core Principles of Planetree Implementation

Planetree’s human-centered model is guided by four key principles:

  1. Respect for the Patient “ Honoring dignity, values, and preferences.
  2. Information Sharing “ Providing clear and transparent communication.
  3. Participation “ Encouraging active involvement of patients and families.
  4. Cooperation “ Fostering collaboration between healthcare teams and patients.

By striving for Planetree Accreditation, Liv Hospital reaffirms its commitment to building a healthcare environment where science, compassion, and human dignity come together.
