What Happens Before the DHI Procedure Begins?

How many grafts can be transplanted with DHI in one session?

DHI sessions usually involve around 2,000–3,000 grafts. In selected cases, up to about 3,500 grafts may be possible. Larger areas are often treated with FUE or planned in stages.

DHI is performed under local anesthesia, so pain is minimal. Most patients feel pressure rather than pain, and mild soreness afterward is usually easy to manage.

The donor area is commonly shaved, but partial or limited shaving may be possible depending on your case. Fully unshaven options are usually reserved for small areas.
