October is recognized globally as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a crucial time dedicated to education and empowerment in the fight against this disease. Embracing this global mission, Liv Hospital took a significant step to extend this vital conversation by organizing a dedicated Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This initiative underscores our unwavering commitment to women’s health and to sharing critical medical knowledge far beyond our own borders.
The event was designed to provide clear, accessible, and expert-led information to the public, focusing on the life-saving importance of early detection and the latest advancements in treatment. We were honored to have two of our leading specialists from Liv Hospital lead the discussion, offering a comprehensive perspective on the patient journey.
Dr. Ertugrul Gazioglu, a highly respected Breast Surgeon, addressed the clinical cornerstones of breast cancer care. He emphasized the critical role of regular screenings, self-examinations, and modern diagnostic techniques that allow for earlier and more effective intervention. His session provided attendees with a clear understanding of the surgical options available today, demystifying the treatment process and instilling a sense of confidence through knowledge.
Complementing this, Associate Professor Dr. Zeynep Sevim, a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Specialist, spoke on the integral topic of recovery and reconstruction.
