What is Fotona Smooth Mode Technology?

Unlike conventional lasers that achieve tissue remodeling by vaporizing the surface layer (ablative lasers), Smooth mode technology transmits thermal energy into the deeper histological layers while fully preserving the integrity of the epidermal surface. This provides a comfortable treatment outcome with virtually zero patient downtime.

The Science Behind It: What is ‘Smooth’ Mode?

This technology delivers laser energy not through rapid, explosive pulses, but rather via a specialized, non-overlapping pulse sequence. This sequence permits controlled thermal relaxation of the tissue while maintaining a sustained temperature high enough to stimulate neocollagenesis.

• Thermal Optimization: It safely heats the targeted sub-surface tissue to a hyperthermic range of 60–65°C. This specific thermal threshold causes immediate contraction of existing collagen fibers and triggers the long-term synthesis of new collagen.
