He was born in Samsun on 09.11.1949.
He completed his education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine between 1966 and 1973 and received his doctorate .
He completed his specialization in Ophthalmology at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine between 1973 and 1977.
Between 1978 and 1984, at the Academic Hospital of the University of Dusseldorf , Duisburg
He served as Deputy Chief alongside Prof. Holland and performed 6000 eye surgeries in this hospital .
In 1983, he took the exam at Cerrahpaşa University and received the title of Associate Professor .
He returned to Türkiye in 1984 and worked in his private practice until 1986.
In 1986, he was appointed as chief of Beyoğlu Training and Research Hospital.
Between 1995 and 1998, he received the title of Professor at 100Yıl University.
In 1996, he founded Türkiye’s first eye hospital, Dünya Eye Hospital.
In 1998, he was reappointed as the eye clinic chief and chief physician at Beyoğlu Training and Research Hospital.
