Dilation allows the robotic imaging systems to get a clear view of the entire retina and the peripheral parts of the natural lens.

No, most are non-contact tests where you simply look at a light or a target. Any contact tests are done after using numbing drops.

Expect to spend about 1.5 to 2 hours at the clinic to ensure all robotic mapping and safety checks are performed thoroughly.

You should stop wearing contacts for several days (or weeks for hard lenses) before the test, as they can temporarily change the shape of your cornea.
